Fire Safety Knowledge Audit

24th August 2022

Refresh, retrain, replace.

Are your employees up to date on all things fire safety? Ensuring you have dedicated individuals who are responsible for safeguarding people’s lives by planning and implementing correct fire safety preventative measures is essential in any organisation.  If you’ve had a recent turnover of staff, you may also have lost one of your colleagues who has all your company’s fire safety expertise.

Did you know that in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 for England and Wales/Fire (Scotland) Act 2005/Northern Ireland Fire Safety Regulations 2010, all businesses must nominate a responsible individual to carry out a fire risk assessment, create a fire emergency plan and implement and maintain a fire risk management system?

Don’t expose your company to gaps in fire safety knowledge. Fire risk assessments are a major responsibility which is why it’s important to replace any employees with fire safety responsibilities who have left the organisation with individuals who are comprehensively trained on up to date fire safety legislation and preventative measures. Changes such as building modifications, layout changes or extensions could all affect the fire safety risks in your building. Therefore, fire safety is something that should be continuous to ensure appointed individuals are kept up to date. By enrolling staff on refresher courses, this ensures they’re prepared should a fire occur.

With this in mind, lets take a closer look at some of the courses we offer from our comprehensive course portfolio…
