Fire Warden Training
Appointing and training Fire Wardens will provide management with the opportunity to significantly improve fire prevention practices in the workplace, improve communications and share the workload in the implementation of good fire safety management. This in-depth course is delivered in-house and is also offered with the focus on specific industries such as healthcare, schools, care homes or construction to provide your organisation with a tailored training programme.

Fire Risk Assessor (5 day)
This highly practical course features multimedia presentations, working on plan drawings and practical exercises. Designed for individuals employed in a wide range of sectors, from industrial to commercial backgrounds, this in-depth course provides the practical training and theoretical knowledge required to confidently conduct fire risk assessments. In addition to this, some of the other key points this course covers are:

• • Compile fire risk assessment reports 
  • Identify hazards and any fire safety management deficiencies
  • Advise on improvements to control measures in reducing the risk of fire
  • Advise on fire-fighting access requirements
  • Upon successful completion of the course, delegates can apply for Fire Technician Grade with the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (subject to validation criteria).

Managing Fire Safety Course (4 day)
Build upon your knowledge with our Managing Fire Safety Course. If you’ve already completed our Fire Risk Assessor course (5 day), this 4 day module enables delegates to be awarded the prestigious Fire Manager Course (9 day) certificate and you’ll be eligible to apply to the Institute of Fire Safety Manager (IFSM) of the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) for a professionally recognised qualification (subject to criteria). On completion of this course some of the things you will be better able to will be:

• • Interpret fire safety legislation and its requirements
  • Set up and manage an effective fire awareness training scheme
  • Implement an effective fire safety management structure
  • Identify hazards and any fire safety management deficiencies.

Fire Manager Advanced Course (5 day & project)
This comprehensive, 5 day course plus project takes delegates knowledge to the next level on more complex premises and multi-story buildings covering advanced fire safety provision, advanced fire risk assessment and advanced managing fire safety. The project must consist of at least 10,000 words on fire safety within a large organisation and must be submitted within 6 months of successful completion of the course. Upon successful completion of both the course and the project, delegates will be eligible to apply to the IFSM or IFE for enhancement of their professional grade up to and including Member, (subject to the relevant institute’s validation procedures).

Fire Risk Assessor Mentoring
If you are responsible for fire safety within your organisation, and have had training with Vulcan in the past, then this may be ideal for you to ensure you are up to speed with the latest legislation. 

For those that have previously taken one of the courses outlined below, you can also take advantage of our mentoring initiative which gives you access to the services of one of our highly qualified fire safety professionals, who will visit your premises to offer guidance, advice and feedback as required.
