I have found the Vulcan courses to be vital to my understanding of Fire Risk Assessment and Management processes. I initially took the five-day Risk Assessor course in 2017 and then followed this through to the Fire Manager course. The progressive steps in the depth of the courses are carefully planned, and linked, culminating in a detailed case study project on a “real” building. The courses have given me the understanding and tools that enable me to provide informed advice to my clients at a much more meaningful level. Whether you’re taking your first steps towards becoming a Fire Risk Assessor or are moving towards a Fire Safety Management role, the courses are well structured and delivered by competent tutors in a clear and concise way. Courses like these can often be functional and dry, but I found them to be enjoyable and all the participants were fully engaged throughout.

I attended the course to ensure I was up to date with current legislation and guidance. The course instructor was very knowledgeable and had a certain way of conveying information that made it stick.
The course was very precise and covered all areas. It wasn’t an easy course and you had to have good levels of concentration. But if you want a Fire Manager Advanced Diploma, it’s got to be done.
