Vulcan Congratulate Diploma Graduates

Vulcan Fire Training is delighted to congratulate two of their delegates who have achieved the prestigious Fire Manager Advanced Diploma following completion of previous fire manager training with the company.

Barrie Dexter (top right), SHE Advisor - SBP with William Grant & Sons Distillers Ltd is now able to apply for membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).  Barrie is already a Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) and initially enrolled on the Fire Manager Certificate with Vulcan in 2013 at the Glasgow venue.  

In 2014 Barrie took the Diploma course in Northampton and has since submitted his project from the course which has been assessed as at Member grade.

Chris Bolam (bottom right), Health and Safety Manager at the Manchester Metropolitan University, was also successful on the 5 day Fire Manager Advanced Diploma course, and produced a Fire Safety Management project which met all the requirements of the diploma.  

Chris initially took the Fire Manager Certificate with Vulcan which gave him the entry requirement onto the Diploma course.

Chris commented: "Over three years I have undertaken the Fire Managers Course and finally the Advanced Fire Manager Diploma with Vulcan. The training has been very practical and helpful and given me the tools to be able to undertake my role with greater confidence, knowledge and understanding. 

The training was delivered at a pace that meant understanding the material was easy, backed up with the trainer's dry sense of humour and some great stories. I have been very happy with the level of training support and contact from Vulcan and would recommend them."

Vulcan wishes both Barrie and Chris every success in their respective health and safety / fire manager roles.
