Update To British Standard PAS 79:2020

On the 8th December 2020, BSI released the new PAS 79-1:2020 and PAS 79-2:2020 codes of practice. They came into effect on 31 December 2020 and supersedes PAS 79:2012, which is now withdrawn.
PAS 79-1:2020
PAS 79-1:2020 is a Fire Risk Assessment Code of Practice for premises other than housing. The layout is familiar to the old methodology and the question system have been improved and partly reduced in some areas.
The scope of this new Part 1 of PAS 79 excludes blocks of flats, sheltered housing, extra care housing, supported housing and certain houses in multiple occupations, all of which are addressed in a new Part 2 of PAS 79.
PAS 79-2:2020
PAS 79-2:2020 is a Fire Risk Assessment Code of Practice for Housing. The layout of questions has been aligned to be more specific for housing premises.
The scope of this new Part 2 of PAS 79 comprises blocks of flats, sheltered housing, extra care housing, supported housing and certain houses in multiple occupation.
