Vulcan Fire Safety Trainers attend IFSM Technical Meeting at Keele University

2nd May 2019

As an Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) Approved Centre for Training it is important that we keep up to date with the latest advances in fire safety which is why our trainers attended the latest Technical Meeting held at Keele University.

On successful completion of our Fire Safety Courses many of our delegates utilise their qualification to join the IFSM, and one of the benefits of membership is being able to attend these Technical Meetings at discounted prices. Whilst attendance also counts as part of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) all professionals in our industry need, the knowledge our trainers gain from these meetings ensures our courses evolve and reflect the latest in best practice.

IFSM Meeting Keele Uni

There were three fantastic presentations at Keele; Tony Bolder shared his experience on BS9999 v ADB, Paul Williams talked about the latest in photoluminescent emergency exit signs and Warren Spencer gave some great advice to Fire Risk Assessors on compliance and protection from prosecutions under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. If you've been to any of Warren’s presentations you’ll know we mean when we say, “follow the money”, and if you haven’t - catch one soon and it’ll all make sense!

We’d like to thank the IFSM for another great Technical Meeting at Keele University; another wonderful venue and we look forward to the next one, ‘every day is a school day’ - keep learning!
