Vulcan Fire Training is very pleased to be able to announce that Barry Thorn (BA (Hons), Cert Ed, CMIOSH, MIIRSM, MfL) Health, Safety & Training Manager at Bradford Grammar school has been successful on the Fire Manager Advanced Diploma Course.

Barry Thorn - Fire Manager Advanced Diploma

In June and December 2013 Barry attended and was successful in the Fire Manager Certificate (Modules 1 & 2 respectively) and subsequently took the Fire Manager Advanced Diploma in November 2014.

Following this 5 day diploma course Barry had 6 months in which to produce at least a 10,000 word fire safety management project on a building which met the criteria of size and difficulty to warrant Member grade.

His project has been recently moderated and achieved the level of Member grade MIFireE/MIFSM. Barry is now able to apply to either or both of these Fire Institutes for membership at Member level.

When being informed of the news, Barry commented: "I am really pleased to have been awarded the Diploma by Vulcan Fire Training. Again I cannot speak too highly of the standard of tuition that all your staff have given over the past few years.  I would have no hesitation in recommending the courses I have undertaken with you, or your organisation in general."

We wish Barry every success for the future and thank him for his continued commitment and enthusiasm for the training he has received, long may it stand him in good stead!
