Are your Fire Wardens properly trained?

9th January 2019

Now that we’ve entered the new year, many of you may be reviewing the fire safety plans within your premises as well as assessing which employees, such as Fire Wardens, have an active role in the fire safety for your building.

Fire Wardens play a vital role in ensuring your business and building is prepared should a fire break out. They are identifiable to your other employees and coordinate the emergency evacuation of the premises.

Here at Vulcan Fire Training, we offer a range of fire warden training courses including courses specifically designed for the following industries:

  • Hotels
  • Care Homes
  • Construction
  • Healthcare
  • Schools

These courses are designed to ensure that, upon completion, all partaking fire wardens have the understanding and knowledge to be able to undertake their duties confidently and competently. Fire Wardens will also be able to:

    • Complete disabled evacuation using PEEPs (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans).
    • Assess what size of fire they are dealing with using appropriate fire equipment.
    • Implement practical fire safety rules.
    • Apply the PASS (Pull, aim, squeeze, sweep) formula to be able to safely use fire extinguishers.
    • Confidently operate fire-fighting equipment and move in a smoke-filled environment.

Our Fire Warden Training courses can be booked to take place in your own premises and upon completion of the course, all successful delegates receive a Fire Warden Approved Certificate.
