Vulcan attend IFSM meeting on Heritage Fire

Here at Vulcan, we like to take part in and support industry events as much as we can, and at the beginning of this month we attended the Heritage Fire Safety Conference held by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM).

The meeting had experienced speakers outlining the risks and loss of past Heritage fires. We found some of the stories that accompanied the presentation particularly interesting as Heritage fires are more common than people are generally aware of.

After speaking to fellow Fire Safety professionals and listening to four different guest speaker presentations, we came away from the conference with a detailed insight into emergency planning and salvage operations for Heritage building.

We’d like to thank the IFSM for another great conference. We’re already looking forward to next years.
