Overview

Our popular Fire Risk Assessor Course (5 day) is now available online.

Delegates will take part in interactive online sessions via a professional web-based platform delivered by our fully qualified trainers. The course lengths, content, and materials will remain the same. The exams will be taken on the final day and submitted by email with results and certificates issued within two weeks of the final course date.

PLEASE NOTE: This course is only open to residents in the UK.

Introduction

Current fire safety legislation requires a risk-based regime in organisations with a nominated competent person overseeing fire safety management – Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 for England and Wales/Fire (Scotland) Act 2005/Northern Ireland Fire Safety Regulations 2010.

This prestigious course has been designed specifically for individuals employed in a wide range of industrial and commercial backgrounds in both public and the private sector and organisations who require in-depth, practical training in fire risk assessment.

This course ensures that on completion delegates feel competent and confident to carry out fire risk assessments, produce fire safety reports and fire emergency plans of small to medium size premises in line with current legislation.

About the course

A highly practical in-depth course with multi-media presentations, working on plan drawings and practical exercises, using software and laptops.

Upon successful completion of the course, delegates can apply for Fire Technician Grade with the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) leading to the TIFSM professional fire safety qualification subject to validation.

This course forms the first part of the Fire Manager Course (9 day) giving delegates the opportunity, at a later date, to enhance their knowledge and to be able to apply for Associate Grade with the IFSM or Fire Technician Grade with the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) subject to validation.

  • The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) has recognised the course as the first part of an education programme.
