Distinction for Andrew Harley on Fire Manager Advanced Diploma

Vulcan are delighted to announce that Andrew Harley, a Health and Safety Advisor at St David’s Hospice Care, has passed the Fire Manager Advanced Diploma and achieved a distinction on his project.

Andrew attended the Fire Manager courses back in 2015, and went on to complete the Advanced Diploma course in February this year, successfully passing all of the exams. He then had 6 months to complete his project.

When asked about his course experience with Vulcan, Andrew commented:

“The Advanced Fire Manager Diploma was more intense that the Fire Manager Certificate but was put together and delivered very professionally. The course and the 6 month project were perfect for getting the fire risk assessment, fire safety manual and staff fire training, and other fire related documentation in place for our new In Patient Unit, which was inspected both by the Fire Rescue Service, Care Council for Wales and our Insurers and all inspections passed with flying colours.

I would definitely recommend the fire risk assessment, fire manager and fire manager advanced diploma courses for anyone requiring the skills and knowledge to carry out fire risk assessments confidently and competently, and manage fire risks for different size buildings and layouts.”
